Ryan Duane Childers

Ryan Childers was born and raised in El Centro, California, where his family has lived for almost 100 years. Ryan is a graduate of Southwest High School. In 2001, he received his Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Accounting from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and in 2004 at the age of 23 he graduated from the University Of San Diego School Of Law. Ryan and his wife Allison live in rural El Centro and are proud to be raising their children, William and Abigail, as fifth generation Imperial Valley residents.

Ryan has been practicing law exclusively in Imperial County courts for a decade. During that time he has become one of the area’s most widely known and most successful attorneys. After returning home to Imperial County from law school, Ryan worked as a prosecuting attorney in Imperial County for two years, during which time he honed his skills as a strong and effective trial attorney.

After leaving the District Attorney’s office in 2006, Ryan founded Childers & Associates. Since its inception, Childers & Associates has grown from just Ryan in a small office to a firm of three experienced attorneys and seven staff members. Childers & Associates has become one of Imperial County’s most successful and highly respected law firms.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Ryan is an active member of the local community. In 2006, Ryan was elected to serve as a member of the El Centro Elementary School District Board of Trustees and in 2013 he was elected to serve as a member of the Central Union High School District Board of Trustees. In addition to serving as an elected official, Ryan is also a past president of the Imperial County Bar Association, and past president of the El Centro Rotary Club. He has also generously volunteered his time to many other boards and local causes.

In recognition of his achievements and dedication to the community, Ryan was awarded the El Centro Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional of the Year award and the City of El Centro honored Ryan and his law firm with one of their prestigious IMAGINE Awards.
