Jeannie Marie Lagorio

I have been an attorney in the State of California since 2001.  Since 2002, I have been exclusively practicing in the California Workers’ Compensation system, with extensive experience representing both the injured workers and the insurance companies/large employers.  This unique position of having represented both sides in the Workers’ Compensation System puts me at an advantage in that I am experienced and have extensive knowledge as to how the insurance companies operate and the tactics/strategies they use.  Knowledge is power! That experience and knowledge makes me the ideal attorney to represent your interests as an injured worker.  Among my colleagues and clients, I have developed a strong reputation for being extremely assertive in representation of my clients. 

I have always had a passion for the law.  I began my legal career as a “runner” for an insurance defense firm at the age of 16.  From there I worked in the court system in Reno, Nevada, followed by extensive experience as a legal secretary and paralegal for many years in both Nevada and California.  While working as a paralegal, I pursued my education in real estate and became a licensed real estate agent.  Instead of pursuing a career in real estate, and because I wanted to better serve the people in my community, I continued to work full time as a paralegal and attended law school after completing an undergraduate degree.  

My passion is in representing injured workers so as to avoid having them taken advantage of following a work injury.  I am the protector of their rights, fighting to get them every cent and every benefit to which they are entitled.  My paralegal is bilingual and speaks Spanish.  She has over 20 years assisting injured workers.  Combined, we have over 40 years of experience in the workers' compensation arena.  We treat injured workers with the respect and dignity they deserve.  We are sensative to their position and assist them through a system that can be highly complicated to navigate through without an attorney.  I fight to get injured workers the maximum amount of benefits and settlements for their injuries.
