Robert Thompson Plumb II

I was recommended to Mr. Plumb by a local business owner in Coronado. I ha just recently moved to San Diego and have never dealt with a DUI before in my life. I went to Mr. Plumbs office for consultation. He gave me a 45 minute song and dance of how many people he's gotten off with near death alcohol... levels and seemed to be gloating. He than showed me pictures of him with Ronald Regan and other notable celebrities, further tooting his horn. Finally he spoke, at length, about his use of a Bowtie and how it throws everyone in the room off. I finally interjected and asked how much?? Keep in mind I am fresh out of college with a .08 blood alcohol level and I am making minimum wage. He told me $18,000 for a pre-trial retainer!!! That is unheard of!! Avg DUI lawyer fee in $1200-$2500... I told him I could never afford this and left. The next morning I received a call from his secretary demanding I pay $50 for a consultation fee. I recovered this call for three days in a row before I went to the bank and got 5,000 pennies and left it on her desk for mr. Plumb. No DUI lawyer asked for a consultation fee ever! This is unheard of. If this guy had the audacity to ask a young, unsuspecting kid for $18,000, he should be begging for $50. The whole experience was atrocious! I am now almost 29 and felt compelled to share this information.

Mr. Plumb represented me recently in a DUI case. I was referred by word of mouth and told "if your innocent get Mr. Plumb to represent you". I contacted him made an appt after posting bail and seeing a doctor and neurologist. We made an appt. I voiced concerns about my reputation in the AA community,... impending divorce, estate trust issues with my (EX) and my financial situation. Before I spoke he reviewed and answered many of my questions and quieted my fears, we disscussed the fees and the court process and he told me to shop or ask around. I informed him he was my guy and he set a course of action on the first visit.I won't go into the details of the case or his strategic plan but in virtually every court appearance and negotiating tactical face off he had a strategy inplace and knew what to expect based on what the district attorney's office either offered or counterd with. Much like a chess match. he was also honest with me about which way the results may go. I felt as though as was getting excellant and professional representation. Do I recommend him ! "HELL YES"!!!!

Mr. Plumb is by far the most effective attorney ever! He has the professionalism, the legal know-how, and the determination to follow through with a case no matter how many twists and turns it may take. He took my dissolution case which should have been a basic divorce, but when it turned into a LO...NG term haggle, he stuck it out and made sure I was granted the justice I deserved. I followed his legal advice and he was able to get me everything I wanted. I owe the success and happiness of my family to both God and to the actions of this great man! Highly recommended!!!
