Susan Lee Guinn

Susan L. Guinn has a national practice with her office in San Diego, California. The Guinn Law Firm is dedicated to protecting and advancing consumer rights. Past cases include litigation in product safety, tobacco, fraudulant tax, pharmaceutical safety and insurance bad faith. 

Guinn received her Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from the University of New Mexico and graduated from the University of Denver School of Law with her J.D.

Guinn has successfully litigated cases ranging from school bus safety to insurance bad faith to seatbelt and gastank saftey litigation, which have resulted in several multi-million dollar recoveries for her clients. 

In addition, as a partner in a prior firm, Guinn was co-counsel for the County of Los Angeles in its unfair business practices lawsuit against the tobacco industry.

She is a member of the State Bar of California, and is or has been in the past a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (“CAOC”), the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association, the Western Trial Lawyers Association (“WTLA”), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (“ATLA”), the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (“AIEG”), and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (“TLPJ”).  Guinn served as a Board Member for CAOC from approximately 1996 through 2000, and was elected to serve as President of WTLA for two consecutive terms, from June of 2000 to June of 2002.  As a sustaining member of ATLA, she served as co-chair of the Publications Committee and was an Executive Committee Member of the Product Liability Section. 

She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of California, in the United States District Court for the Southern and Central Districts, the Courts of the State of Colorado, and in the District of Columbia.
