Laury M. Baldwin

Laury Baldwin is highly experienced, widely regarded and extremely knowledgeable divorce attorney with a specialty in child custody issues. She attends seminars and informally advises judges of the latest custody rulings. I find she strives to keep attorney costs to a minimum and is an outstanding l...itigator in the court room. In my particular case, she won a difficult custody trial to which I will forever be grateful. I now see and raise my kids equally. I had the pleasure of working with Laury (and also her fabulous daughter, Carole) during my divorce finalization and an extensive custody battle, which involved a move-away motion. Being an attorney myself, I had high expectations as to how things should be handled and was very dissatisfied with my ...initial selection of counsel. Laury was able to not only keep a client like me satisfied, but she did so with compassion. Although a prior custody evaluation recommendation was made in favor of the other parent, Laury worked hard to prevent that recommendation from becoming "rubber-stamped," as is often the case. The result is that the move-away motion was denied, our child remained with me the majority of the time, and, several years later, we have a happy and well-adjusted child. Laury did an outstanding job defending the facts against the ruthless efforts to manipulate them made by opposing counsel for my ex- (who was coincidentally awarded the California Lawyer of the Year accolade during my divorce proceedings). Laury deserves highest honors and praise for her efforts in representing me, and I will remain forever grateful to her, Carole, and their staff.

Laury handled my high conflict child custody litigation. My ex-wife unfortunately put the children in the middle in an effort to get 80% custody and maximize her child support and used every dirty trick possible.
