Dawn Delia

Dawn Delia is a federal tax attorney and founder of Delia Law P.C. She represents individuals and businesses facing serious tax problems involving the IRS and state taxing authorities, with a practice focused on tax controversy, collections, audits, enforcement matters and resolution of complex tax liabilities.

For more than fifteen years, Ms. Delia has helped taxpayers navigate matters involving IRS liens and levies, wage garnishments, installment agreements, Offers in Compromise, Currently Not Collectible status, unfiled tax returns, audits and appeals, penalty relief, payroll and employment tax liabilities, Trust Fund Recovery Penalties, innocent spouse claims and other federal and state tax controversies.

Before founding Delia Law in 2011, Ms. Delia practiced commercial business law in Washington, D.C. and New York City, including at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where her work involved sophisticated financial, tax and commercial matters for multinational corporations. That background in business, finance and litigation continues to inform her approach to complex tax cases today.

Ms. Delia earned her B.A. from Southern Methodist University and her J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in California, New York and Maryland, as well as before the United States Tax Court. She represents taxpayers before the IRS nationwide.
