I am a California litigation and transactional attorney and the Managing Partner of Gietzen PC, where I advise businesses and individuals across a wide range of complex legal matters. I also serve as Of Counsel to Webb Law Group APC.
My practice spans litigation, transactional, and deal work, with a focus on contract disputes, business and corporate disputes, employment actions, corporate compliance, and serving as external general counsel. I regularly advise clients through all stages of the business lifecycle, from deal structuring and negotiation to enforcement and litigation.
I have substantial experience in both written and oral advocacy, having briefed and argued motions in state, federal, and appellate courts, second-chaired two trials, and briefed and argued six appeals. I've also brokered and negotiated high-value transactions on behalf of clients involving assets worth tens of millions of dollars. My litigation background informs my transactional practice, allowing me to anticipate risk and draft agreements with enforcement and dispute avoidance in mind.
I graduated magna cum laude from California Western School of Law in San Diego and hold an undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Prior to law school, I began my academic career in Aerospace Engineering, completing advanced coursework in calculus, physics, and chemistry, before transitioning to Business Administration and ultimately Political Science, where I completed a custom concentration in Business, Economics, and Politics.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed a strong appreciation for teamwork, collaboration, and relationship-building. I believe successful legal outcomes are driven not only by technical skill, but also by clear communication, trust, and cooperation. As a self-described people person, I thrive in team-oriented environments and value long-term professional relationships.

Unreliable, Unprofessional, and Negligent. Don't waste your time like Chandler wasted mine
If I could give zero stars, I would. I came to this firm with a clear timeline: a demand letter needed to go out to stay a retaliatory meeting. The attorney agreed to the timeline, and I signed the retainer a week ago. Instead of working on the case, they missed the Friday deadline, the Monday morni...
David, I appreciate your feedback, however I want to clarify a few things about your review, including the fact that you were never a client. You waited until the following week after we initially met to sign the Retainer Agreement, which was conditioned on receiving a deposit from you. While I tried to be professional and non-accusatory in the email you reference, the payment link was also in the onboarding documents you received after our first meeting. The fact that you were "ready to pay" is also not true, as you expressly conditioned making payment on receiving a draft of work you had yet to pay for. As such, I cannot work for free and your insistence on receiving work product before making a deposit, per the Retainer Agreement you signed, made it so I could not move forward with representing you. As far as the “deadlines” we committed to, those were agreed to assuming you signed on quickly rather than the following week. Further, you did not advise me of this deadline until the business day prior, at which point my schedule had changed. Calling my office and bombarding me with emails when I am attending to other matters is not "confirmation" that we could meet your last minute deadline that we never agreed to. Finally, I'd note that the identified scope of representation we agreed to materially differed from what you ultimately wanted us to do. Again, thank you for considering my office and I hope you get the legal counsel you need.
