Is it a crime to not report marijuana being grown by your landlord on the property? I didn't report sooner for fear of eviction.

The LL's deadline is irrelevant. You have 2 years to file a lawsuit if your lease agreement was oral and 3 years if written. Review this article...

Usually tenant's with a month-to-month lease agreement are also "at-will" tenants. By being an at-will tenant the landlord can evict them anytime...

California commercial lease provides that landlord may lockout tenant for non payment of rent. Landlord did so.

Self help is prohibited in the rental of a residential property (California Civil Code 789.3). Commercial lease law is much more landlord friendly....
