I approached Kelli after having a not so great experience with my lawyer in a custody proceeding for my 2 year old son. A custody hearing can be very emotional as it is your life and your child's life that is being decided on. I felt a distaste for her industry as I was not given the customer service... I felt I deserved and thought maybe this is all just black and white and not personal. Well it is and family law specifically seems to be very "unfair" at times but it does not mean that you cannot have a lawyer that is going to take the time to understand you, what you want, and develop a relationship with you. From my 30 minute conversation with Kelli I feel she understands me more and was more honest with me than the 6 months I was working with my prior lawyer. I am not a client of Kelli's yet, however, if and when I need her services I will be excited to work with her.

I was referred to Kelli by a friend after my daughter's mom filed a false TRO because I wouldn't let her move to Houston with my daughter since we have joint custody. From the first phone call I had with Kelli after she reviewed the phony TRO I knew that I was in good hands. She gave me my instructio...ns on what she needed from me and also let me know our plan of attack. She also knew how important it was for me to clear my name and get my daughter back! The hearing comes and my daughter's mom is a no show so the case was dropped! But with Kelli's experience and knowledge she told me that she would go and file again and sure enough the very next day she was granted another phony TRO!!! Unbelievable!! So Kelli worked hard with all of her weapons to gather information, subpoena keys witnesses and pull important documentations! A couple of days before the second hearing was like the last 2 minutes of a game and she really went to work!!! The results of that hard work and strategy paid off as the opposing council opted to settle this out of court the day before the hearing and I was able to get my daughter back thanks to Kelli! She is very aggressive, will fight hard for you and very easy to communicate and talk with. If you ever find yourself in a situation like I was in, let's just hope that you know someone who will refer you to Kelli!

Kelli Blackburn was a symbol of hope to myself and daughter at a time when our possibilities appeared barricaded and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed almost impossible. She went above and beyond for my case. The thing that impressed me most about Kelli was nothing was "sugar coated...". She was very straight forward and told me what to expect each step of the way. Kelli is extremely knowledgeable is all aspects of the law and it reflects inside and outside of the Courtroom. I cannot say enough good things about how she handled my case. My case was a very sensitive and had a lot of moving parts. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her.

Kelli was recommended to me by someone in the military divorce group that I was a part of. Kelli is also a military spouse so she is very knowledgeable when it comes to the ins and outs of the military. She is know to be a “SHARK”. She is very confident and makes sure that her client receives the bes...t outcome possible. She listens and is also very empathetic. She always make sure you understand everything and is always on time sending all the paper works needed. She is an absolute beast in the courtroom. She will go above and beyond for you. Kelli Blackburn took my high conflict custody case to trial and was an incredible advocate throughout the entire process. She knows family law extremely well, and frankly, she excels in trial!
