Michael Paul Sousa

Mr. Sousa took on my case after a consultation. I had been re-classified from exempt to non-exempt and switched to an hourly wage based on my salary. The complaint was that while 3 years as an exempt employee, more than 50% of the time, I was performing job duties that other non-exempt employees were... paid overtime for. Rather than back paying me, they just re-classified me to non-exempt with no explanation. Mike explained that he believed I had a case and what the expectations would be as far as the procedure goes. I provided everything he asked for on my side and let him do his job. He was calm when things were stressful for me and reassuring of my position.
