in most cases it would have no effect at all and you would be eligible to re-apply when you can overcome the basis for the denial.

A green card is almost as valuable as citizenship and can be renewed indefinitely. Perhaps while you are still actively engaging in business...

It should not if he doesn't have a criminal or other problem. He should formally ask the employer for a leave of absence to delay his start date.

It depends on the exact findings in the original Denial. If there was a finding of marriage fraud then you will not be eligible for any other...

Yes but it won't be approved until the L-2 extension is approved. It is best in the future to always file these together.

if you have the option to get an O-1 with another company (or the one you have been working for you can do this and then apply for a 212(d)(3)...
