Don't waste your time waiting for John to do your income tax. When I asked him that I needed to make the quarterly payment on Apr. 15, he said I didn't need to. Really?! This could cause me the tax penalty! He did not return my phone calls and emails. He even deleted my emails which contained im...portant financial info. Then he'd ask me to re-send the same emails to him repeatedly. The 888 number on the webpage is disconnected. After giving him the tax documents for more than 2 months and without any status, I fired him. He's just utterly unprofessional.

I think Scannell is probably a good CPA and good at doing taxes. However, this past year we had some real issues with him. My husband got his tax stuff in late, so an extension was necessary. After that, we waited months for the taxes to be done. I was so desperate I started calling every two weeks. ...After a few months of this he literally picked up the phone and told me that every time I call, he puts our file on the bottom of the stack! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Even after that it was months later, towards the end of the year, before we got them done, filed and got the refund. I will not go back but I would highly recommend getting all your stuff in quickly and on time if you want them done in any kind of a timely manner.
