Biography
Joann Bussayabuntoon was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. From a young age, she knew she wanted a career helping others. She attended a small Catholic high school in Hollywood known for its community outreach. Joann spent most of her weekends volunteering with local charities and health clinics.
After high school, Joann studied at the University of California, Irvine in Orange County, California. She double majored in Sociology and Criminology with intentions of becoming a social worker. Realizing that she could help people on a larger scale through the legal profession, she switched her focus towards becoming a Plaintiff’s attorney.
Joann attended the University of San Diego, School of Law in San Diego, California and now represents injured Claimants under the Longshore Act and the Defense Base Act. When not advocating for her clients, Joann enjoys cooking, reading, playing computer games, and spending time with friends and family.
