Akylah Morgan Cooper

Akylah is a dual-licensed attorney in the states of California and Washington. After graduating from University of Idaho Law School as the youngest in her class, she sat for and passed both state bars in just over a year. In her first year practicing law, Akylah was registered by the Executive Office of Immigration Review to go before federal immigration courts. She represented families facing deportation as well as other immigration-related matters.

While balancing her law school classes, Akylah maintained her limited license to represent clients pro bono in family law and criminal matters with the University of Idaho Legal Aid Clinic. Her roles as Vice President of her Student Bar Association and Vice President of Moot Court Oral Advocacy drove her ambition to help others. Her adventurous spirit led her to study abroad with Gonzaga Law School in Florence, Italy to study international women’s rights and comparative criminal law, as well as compete in Las Vegas and New York City for a national oral advocacy competition. 

Currently, Akylah works as an associate attorney with The Law Office of Kevin Lemieux, APC. There, Akylah assists clients with all aspects of their family law cases, from divorce to restraining orders.
