I hired Mr. Christy to handle my divorce. My Ex and I had agreed on how to split our assets amicably and enlisted Mr. Christy to handle the court filing, (which I paid the fees for in advance) and then draw up the mutual settlement agreement, which we specified the terms to. There were no meetings wi...th him, only a few phone conversations. I never asked what the cost would be, thinking it was so simple and straightforward it shouldn't cost very much. Well I was SO wrong....Mr. Christy charged me $10,000.00 for his services. What I got was a boilerplate document with the terms we had agreed to. When I asked for an itemized statement of his costs and time to justify this fee - he told me he didn't work that way and his fee was based on my net worth!!! You be the judge of my dealings with Mr. Christy.

I retained Mr. Christy for a divorce case....he is a seemingly competent attorney in simple matters but has no staff and has embarrassingly confused clients, vital financial information and other very pertinent information in court. He failed to succeed in a relatively simple but vital matter in my ...case...I was told it was going to be an easily won affair but he failed nevertheless, and was lectured by the judge for having botched defense of his client. Key items were missing and confusing financial information entered into evidence and numerous other issues....in summation, I can only recommend this attorney for the simplest of legal affairs.
