Omar T. Passons

I am a land use, construction and civil litigation attorney and I am very committed to helping members of the San Diego community.  In addition to working in a firm that provides excellent legal service to clients, I take seriously my role in helping improve civic life in San Diego.  While I have strong relationships with elected and civic leaders in the San Diego community that help me serve client needs well, these relationships are most important because they also allow me to serve our community.  

I am the President-elect of the Earl B Gilliam Bar Association, and on the Workforce Investment Board of the San Diego Workforce Partnership, Lambda Archives of San Diego, the San Diego Foundation Center for Civic Engagement and the United Way of San Diego County.  These regional civic organizations enable me to donate my time to important causes impacting San Diegans broadly.  I also serve my immediate neighborhood on the Board of the North Park Community Association and the Greater North Park Planning Committee because these organizations have immediate and direct impacts at the neighborhood level.

My wife and I live in North Park and enjoy the ability to walk and ride our bikes easily in our community.  I am a foodie and big supporter of San Diego craft beer and the more than 70 breweries located in the region which provide hundreds of millions of dollars in positive economic impact while promoting community-sustaining local work.
