Excellent experience

Ms. Harris came to our aid while forming our nonprofit company in 2013. Without her and her expertise our humanitarian organization would not have been able to jump through all of the hoops to not only incorporate but to also receive 501(c)(3) status accurately and expeditiously. We came to her with... our vision, our goals and believes, and she helped pave the way for us. We simply could not be what we are today without her and her expertise. I highly recommend May Harris and her firm to any nonprofit, either just forming or if you’re already formed and expanding.

Excellent Representation

May Harris is an excellent resource for nonprofit organizations! Her expertise is a great value to nonprofit organizations who are in need of assistance with legal compliance and governance disputes.

We finally found an excellent attorney who is ethical, kind, and brilliant!

We are a professional staffing firm, and have used May Harris for our legal needs. Excellent job on trademark filings, contract reviews, created all of our agreements and exhibits, general business advice, etc. After going through several attorneys that we felt did not have our best interest, it wa...s so refreshing to finally meet May. If there was a vendor/partner of the year award, it would be hers!

Can't say enough how great it is working with May!

I have worked with May for over a year now and wish I had met her before starting my non-profit corporation on Legal Zoom. It would have cost about the same and been done much quicker with better personalization. I referred others to May to start their NPO and got excellent feed back. An attorney... with a heart! A big one!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
