You must prove not only "physical presence", but also "continuous residency." Both are required. That's what most people do not understand.

You need to be patient. It can take CIS up to 2 months to issue the case filing receipt.

Yes, you are allowed to enroll, given that you timely filed for extension of your H-4 status.

Canadian LPR status of no impact in the USA, however, you may find it hard to maintain LPR status in both countries.

You don't need to worry about any proof of SS registration if you were already at least 26 when moved in to the USA.

I agree. Don't waste time on any OPT. Simply apply for AOS if your marriage is solid.
