Sasan Mirkarimi

Sasan Mirkarimi is a real estate litigator and transactional attorney, specializing in commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Mirkarimi has significant experience handling business and real estate transactions, commercial and residential lease negotiations, business formation, and business contract disputes across a broad spectrum of industries. Mr. Mirkarimi has also represented numerous healthcare related businesses with real estate and business acquisitions, contract negotiations and compliance, and currently serves as in-house counsel for a San Diego based Skilled Nursing Facility Hospitalist Group. Before entering into private practice and co-founding Equity Legal, Mr. Mirkarimi was an associate at law firms where he represented major financial institutions and fortune 500 companies, including banks, mortgage lenders, consumer financial companies, escrow companies, and mortgage loan servicers. Some of the litigation matters Mr. Mirkarimi has handled include lender liability, wrongful foreclosure, title insurance claims, breach of contract, violations of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, REO and post-eviction litigation, and bankruptcy creditor claims. While handing such matters, Mr. Mirkarimi was responsible with advising and litigating a broad spectrum of real-estate issues for his clients, which has allowed him to utilize this unique skill set to best advise and consult both business and individual clients on real estate and business transactional issues, with an emphasis on preventing litigation.

A native San Diegan, Mr. Mirkarimi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from the University of Southern California. He earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. Mr. Mirkarimi is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, the San Diego County Bar Association-Real Estate Section, and The California Association of Healthcare Attorneys and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts, for the Central, Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California. He is also a licensed real estate broker with the California Bureau of Real Estate (BRE Broker Number 01513137). Mr. Mirkarimi was recently named by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star, a designation earned by less than 2.5% of attorneys under the age of forty.
