I tried to get my ex to settle our case without lawyers since we had such of an easy case but she lawyered up which forced me to do also. I interviewed several lawyers and all I seemed to get was sales pitches and chest beating and obvious empty promises. I had sent a brief background to each so our ...time together would be optimum and I am sure none even read the info. Most barely even asked me questions they just talked. You can shop around for price and you will get different answers - nobody truly knows because you cannot predict the opposition. But if you are going to pay someone, make sure they do the job engaged completely. Sarah answered all of my calls and emails and questions right away. She kept me informed but also made sure to optimize time as she was sensitive to keeping the bill down. Although she had many cases, she made me feel like I was her only case. Still in the process of a 'high conflict' post-divorce custody conflict. The other party has made abuse allegations and many lies to the court. I used to represent myself but the stress made me hire someone who actually knew what they were doing! :-) Hiring Sarah was the best decision I've made i...n years.
