Maria Christina Severson

Maria (Mia) Severson is a distinguished trial lawyer with over 15 years of extensive practice in both the private and public sectors. Focusing on complex litigation, she has adeptly handled cases involving fraudulent activities, unfair business practices, pension and labor issues, land use, and environmental matters. Her experience includes litigating lawsuits with damages exceeding $100 million.

Prior to co-founding Aguirre & Severson LLP, Mia was the Chief Deputy City Attorney for San Diego, where she litigated significant cases and directed the city's litigation strategy. She maintains active membership in the Los Angeles County Bar, San Diego County Bar, and the National Association of Women Business Owners. Her community contributions include roles in the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the San Diego Bar Association and involvement with the San Diego Business Trial Lawyers.

Mia has also imparted her knowledge through seminars, including leading a session on Credit Derivatives in 2009 for the San Diego County Bar Association.
