I was referred to Laura Marran by an acquaintance of mine whom I dearly trust. My grandson was delivered court papers through the mail, and he only had two weeks to hire an attorney or use the court appointed one. My grandson is extremely important to me, he is just 19 as I am writing this, and he was facing 6 months, to 3 - 6 years in jail, or prison. It was 3 felony charges and 3 misdemeanors that had occurred while he was still a minor, and although this may have bode well for him, I didn't want to take any chances. I wanted the best. I spoke with Laura over the phone, who promptly returned my call within 35 minutes. I informed her of the circumstances, and she agreed to take the case, making an appointment for the very next day. We arrived at her office, and she was on schedule, courteous, kind, and so very approachable, which made all of the difference to my grandson. She was patient with him, encouraged him, and truly made the effort to understand what he had been through in his life, and what he was now facing. She wrote down everything for him that he needed to accomplish within the next 9 days. His trial was just 13 days away. She encouraged him to get his G.E.D., to go to all the classes that he needed to, and to get a job. This was a young man that had his entire future in front of him, and he made a few mistakes in his youth, and didn't have the guidance that he needed as he was growing up, and she cared about him. And he liked her, as did I, and still do. My grandson accomplished all that he needed to, and I owe this in part to Laura, because she made an impression on him, and she corresponded with him frequently to make sure he was doing his part to save himself, and she made him understand that he needed to do all of things that she asked him to do because it was for his freedom, his chance for a future, and because he deserved it. And his case never went to trial, because she was able to implore upon my grandson, and those who held his future in their hands, that he was deserving of a second chance, and my boy is free today because of her care and diligence, but mostly in part due to her expertise of the law, her impressive resume, how respected she is in her profession. and the community as well. And the case has been over with for 3 weeks now, and she is still helping my grandson. Sending via email, options for college, grants that are available to him, and I admire and respect her so deeply because she has gone above and beyond her duty. I will recommend her to everyone, and should you find yourself or a loved one in need of of an exceptional lawyer, you will not be disappointed.
