Gerry was appointed to me in a federal case by the government I could not have a federal Defender because my co-defendant had a federal Defender. Jerry is an older male he's okay as a person and I feel he does not understand some of the prison politics that involved taking some of the point deduction...s on a case. For instance the safety valve. Although I never cooperated with law enforcement and I never debriefed I was still able to get a safety valve because my case was really cut and dry and I was able to say that there is no more possible evidence that I could give law enforcement or information that would help them. I told Jerry that when you go to prison as a white guy having a safety valve on your paperwork will make the people that you run with assume that you cooperated with police. He told me that i was wrong. That i didnt snitch and so why would i worry. I said fine he had to send me my paper work which he never did. I had asked him to send me my paperwork when I got to prison which he fail to do so which put me in a bind at the prison. Luckily, I was at a low so it wasnt as important but having others assume i was a snitch really bugged me. He never accepted my calls. Make sure u have a lawyer that understands the importance of having good paperwork and having it sent to you at the prison .
