Andrew Jason Benjamin

I represent clients throughout San Diego County and other areas of California. Although I focus primarily on Family Law matters, I am also experienced in a variety of civil matters. My experience includes both working as an advocate for clients as well as performing mediation. I have handled cases involving professional athletes and other prominent individuals.  My legal career has involved cases and appearances in family court, civil court, juvenile court, probate court, and bankruptcy court.

Prior to beginning my legal career, I worked as a Financial Analyst for both a Fortune 100 company and a venture capital funded software startup in Silicon Valley. My background in finance provides me with an extraordinary ability to assist clients involved in disputes requiring complex financial analysis (such as divorce).

In recognition of demonstrating a high level of experience, proficiency, and committment to practicing Family Law, the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization has designated me a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS).

Family Law cases and other legal matters generally involve very personal and sensitive issues which can become complex and emotionally charged. I strive to establish a reputation for handling legal disputes with the utmost discretion and am dedicated to maintaining the privacy of my clients while working to protect their rights.

I aim to negotiate amicable solutions for my clients whenever possible in order to avoid the emotional and financial costs associated with litigation and a trial. However, I do believe every case is unique and I take each of my client's desires into consideration when developing a personalized case plan.
