Erubey Lopez

Attorney Erubey Lopez earned his law degree from UCLA School of Law.  He was part of the prestigious David J. Epstein Public Interest Law and Policy Program and the Business Law and Policy Program.

During Mr. Lopez’s first year in law school he interned for the Honorable John Shepard Wiley at the Los Angeles Superior Court . He also worked for the the National Day Labor Organizing Network (NDLON).   At NDLON Mr. Lopez was part of a team of advocates that included the ACLU and MALDEF in a case representing day laborers in a law suit against a city for violating workers constitutional rights.

During Mr. Lopez’s second year at UCLAW he spent a summer with the San Diego County Public Defenders office at the Vista Branch.  As an intern for the Public Defenders’ office, Mr. Lopez earned valuable experience assisting trial attorneys in misdemeanor and DUI cases.  During his second year, Mr. Lopez also worked for the the world's leading immigration law firm, Fragomen,where he assisted immigration attorneys in employment based cases.

At UCLAW, Mr. Lopez was special project coordinator for the Immigrations Law Society.  He was part of the inaugural class of the Immigration Law Clinic where he worked for the immigration department of Public Counsel, the largest pro bono public interest law firm in the world.  At Public Council Mr. Lopez worked on Removal cases and VAWA petitions.

Mr. Lopez  completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles where he double major in Chicano/a Studies and in Political Science with an emphasis in Political Theory.
