Eric Jon Prosser

Eric Prosser was recommended to me by a friend. I paid him $1000 retainer. The case was to recover a car from a paint shop. He filed the initial lawsuit, but never showed up to court. He was sanctioned by the judge. I must have called over 200 times, and went to his office over 20 times but I hav...e not seen him or heard from him since. I ended up never getting the car back, in what was the simplest case imaginable. I was contacted by the California State Bar who were going to prosecute him.

Where do I start? I hired Mr. Processor to work on a civil judgment against my old business partner and his company. He was recommended by another attorney here in San Diego. He promptly set-up a meeting with me, took my money (a moderate sum) and said he would keep me informed at all stages. Not... only did he keep me uniformed, he would not return my phone calls, return my emails, file the judgment or even return my original documents when I asked him to. He breached every fiduciary responsibility that an attorney is minimally required to do for his client. I took him to the State Bar and am informed he is going through the censure process. I am also told that of this writing he is currently not allowed to practice law in California.
