Replied last January 13, 2016This anonymous poster is unclear and what is written provides insufficient to identify the poster or the case. However, it is not possible for any attorney to "give" a child to either parent. The judge determines what is in the best interest of the child. Nearly all child custody court orders provide for a percentage of time with each parent, albeit that most often one parent has the majority of time, generally from 51% to 80%. Without exception, my staff and I provide the judge with all information which the client makes available to us and which puts the client in the best light. And we argue those points for the client. As with other things in life, sometimes, a client is not objective as to what is in the best interests of the child .. or .. the "strength" of their points. I invite him/her to discuss this directly with me and I will attempt to modify the custody order, if there are any affirmative facts which either were not provided or I could now advance on behalf of the anonymous poster.
