Jorge Federico Lathrop

My name is Federico Lathrop, and I specialize in litigating catastrophic personal injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, wildfire, and mass tort litigation cases. Throughout my career, I have focused on bringing justice to people harmed by the misdeeds of others. I have advocated on behalf of fire victims in several wildfire cases against utility companies and have litigated complex personal injury cases against insurance companies.

I began my career as a lawyer helping victims of domestic violence. Then, I worked for one of the top 5 major multinational law firms in Santiago, Chile, advising local and international individuals and companies. My experience working as an attorney in Latin America gave me a multicultural and diverse background that I use to my clients' advantage in United States courtrooms.

I am a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where I was honored to receive the Dean's Fellowship Tuition Award, given to less than 10% of students in each class. I maintain close ties with the UCLA Law community and mentor international students preparing for the Bar exam and entering the profession.
