Lennie Noordhoorn Gee

Lennie Gee helped me through a divorce in 2006. She was wonderful. It was a very stressful time and I always felt she had my best interest in mind. I remember her saying to me "your life will be so much better six months from now". She was right. I also consulted her when I was about to get married... again. She also set up a trust for me. I have referred my friends for estate planning. I would trust Lennie Gee on any legal matter.

I work in the legal field myself and was referred to Ms Gee to represent me in what should have been an easy divorce. $30,000 and 18 months later, I found myself still not divorced and given WRONG advice concerning property. My ex husband was dragging his feet with the divorce because property valu...es were continuing to go up while I alone was paying the mortgage on our home every month. Ms Gee's office was unresponsive, overbilled , and charged my credit card for a bill they knew I disputed when I was out of the country. I terminated Ms Gee's services and represented myself and was MUCH better off. I contemplated filing a formal complaint with the State Bar Assoc. but their office does not put anything in writing so the burden of proof of the bad legal advice is tough. AVOID THIS OFFICE at all costs. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Also, Ms. Gee always appeared to be overly friendly with my ex husbands attorney, and whenever I questioned her about that, she indicated that was for my benefit. Trust your gut... IT IS NOT! This is a fee -churning office that does not have a clients best interests in mind.

I was delighted my ex wanted to try mediation with Lennie after hearing about her from several of his clients. She also represented a friend of mine who was referred to Lennie by someone in her network. You can't beat word of mouth referrals and she seems to have plenty. I am surprised she doesn't ha...ve a review yet on this site. Lennie is a gifted mediator and helped us to hammer out a settlement quickly even though we had a tough case being that we own a business together. I was amazed at how quickly she was able to cut through the crap, explain how the law would be applied to the issue in question and lead us in the right direction. I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to anyone facing divorce.
