Jessica Claire McElfresh

Jessica McElfresh is a San Diego criminal defense lawyer and founding attorney at McElfresh Law, Inc. Her practice areas include all types of criminal defense including drug and marijuana crimes. She is devoted to defending the rights and protecting the futures of her clients. An aggressive and dedicated defense attorney, Jessica is also involved in drug policy reform. Jessica has taught educational programs for other lawyers and authored proposed ordinances and ballot initiatives to regulate medical marijuana dispensaries. She currently serves as the Community Director for the San Diego Chapter of the NORML Women’s Alliance.

Jessica is a summa cum laude graduate of Scripps College and received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Honor Scholarship recipient. While attending law school, she interned with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, where she gained valuable experience in analyzing search and seizure issues. Jessica is a current member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the California Public Defenders Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the Lawyers Club of San Diego. She has been sought out for her legal commentary by media outlets including The Los Angeles Times, The San Diego U-T, NBC, KPBS, and more.
