Patient, Prepared and Profesional

Benjamin helped me and a family member during a very difficult and emotional time in a domestic violence case. He met multiple times with us to get the details of this complicated situation, review options, and to confirm the specific path we wished to take. He drafted an agreement specific to our ...situation and needs, reviewed it with the other party, and got their agreement prior to the court date. At the court date, the judge examined the draft, explicitly confirmed both parties were in full agreement and accepted it with minor clarifications. The court time was quick, efficient and without drama and we received just what we asked for in the agreement. I would highly recommend him, especially for a family court action.

EXTREMELY Professional

Just to give a little insight, I was an overseas tour and my stepson needed a passport. The issue was he his biological father signing off on documentation for him to obtain a passport. My stepson who had been overseas prior to this tour had already obtained a passport without the biological father... signing off on it, on our first time being stationed overseas. There was no custody agreement between my wife and stepson’s biological father; which posed an issue with our family returning overseas. This is where Ben Yip came into the picture and helped my family stay together. His professionalism throughout the entire process was unbelievable. The process was 10 times less stressful after he took over our case. He had an answer for all of our questions and we were able to execute our move without delay. At no time were we overcharge with an outrageous retainer fee or hourly rate. If you need the job done, I’d recommend Benjamin Yip to anyone. My family is thankful for everything he done for us; most importantly keeping us together.

Ben is alright in my book.

Look. I h.ate attorneys - ALL of them. As far as I'm concerned, the world needs an e.nema and the first things to be purged should be the attorneys (then politicians, clergy, and parking enforcement officers). It's p.athetic that humans have had millions of years to evolve and yet we still can't see...m to figure out how to be decent to one another. We pass countless laws (especially here in the U.S.) to the point where the ONLY way we can function from day to day is to have an attorney who is willing and able to interpret all of that c.rap and somehow find a way to make it all work. I have a tax attorney, a divorce attorney, a disability attorney, and at one time in my life I've even had mortgage and bankruptcy attorneys. These people make me s.ick. But that's only because they have the mental agility and fortitude to do what they do. I'll never be an attorney. But I also h.ate salesmen for the same reasons. I often wish we just had king judges like Solomon who readily offered to take an axe to an issue rather than hear two people b.itch about it all day. But, life is what it is and when faced with an overpriced, ruthless, dessicated, old pro for opposing counsel in court, I needed a young, energetic and intelligent legal warrior on my side. Ben fit that role perfectly. Sure, he may not yet have the full compliment of scars that come with countless (and often needless) prolonged battles but that's due to two things; 1) He's young - give him time, and 2) He's good enough at what he does to deflect most of the blows in the first place. (He won my case tidily enough. I've got no complaints.) Ben is an excellent human being, which is hard for me to say because he's still a stinkin' attorney, but you just can't help but like the guy, d.ammit. He's empathetic, but professional and he never shrugs away from a challenge - in fact, I think he enjoys them a bit too much. His attention to detail is impressive (and his ability to generate paperwork is mind-boggling). But I guess that's some of the things that make an attorney worthwhile. He's also genetically inclined to be a stellar attorney due to his pedigree. Between his seemingly fearless demeanor and the incredible support he seems to have ample access to, he is a force to be reckoned with, in and out of the court room. Bottom line, if you're looking for an attorney (and I h.ate that I have to admit from this point on in my life that I actually recommended one), Ben is a solid choice. I've had to work with several other attorneys in the past and they were mostly...well, just irritating...and that's when they got around to doing their job or even returning correspondence. Ben is attentive and approachable. So, approach him already. You won't be disappointed. P.S.: It took five tries to get this review to take because it contained "objectionable content". Well gee whiz. You want the truth or some watered down Disney stuff?
