Emani Lawrence

Emani Lawrence was my public defender for a *felony dirk & dagger charge* with a *strike prior* in which the D.A. wanted to *send me to prison for 2 years* over a pointed 'reamer tool' from Harbor Freight with a *makeshift/modified handle* which just so happened to be in my lower side/'cell phone' po...cket which the sheriff deputy seized while I was detained, subsequently charging me with *possession of a concealed deadly weapon* for which California is *known to throw the book at you!!* I am writing this with a *major weight off my shoulders* after the **best possible conclusion** of today's *nerve-wrenching preliminary hearing* in which even after *my witness' valuable prepared testimony* stating that I *did nothing wrong, nor had I outwardly brandished a weapon of any kind* was *rendered inadmissible/stricken from the record* Deputy Public Defender Emani Lawrence *dismantled point for point the states testimony* upon cross-examination including the deputy that seized the *dangerous-looking modified tool* in question, *leaving no stone unturned* stating *every which way* it was *perfectly reasonable for me to be caring such a tool* without it being *anything other than a tool*!! Again I've been through the system and I **know what it sounds like** when a **public defender is no different than a dealer at a casino** simply *dolling out the cards* while you're forced to *gamble with your freedom* with *no one truly advocating for you or actually calling the DA on their buIIsh't*... To say that *Deputy Public Defender Emani Lawrence* is *one of the good ones* is *quite the understatement* considering how *thoroughly and strategically she pieced together my defense,* while **preventing the prosecution's unprofessional request for a delay to give themselves more time to review the evidence** and **meticulously litigated/unraveled/torpedoed the merits/credibility of state's case** until there was **nothing left but a flimsy house of cards** resulting in an **emphatic, resounding CASE DISMISSED** (and me having to *pick myself up off the table* not *truly believing it was actually over!!*) Thank you *Emani Lawrence*!!!
