As counsel in-house for three different Fortune 500 companies, I have experience in a multitude of business dealings, issues, processes, challenges, forecasting, trouble shooting, succession planning, asset protection, regulatory, administrative and human resource issues. I have served as Corporate Secretary and as lead in regulatory hearings, governmental approvals, drafting of policy for corporate compliance; interfaced with government and financial audits, and most areas of business law.

I am a member of the National Association of Elder Lawyers (NAELA) and the Dementia Consortium of San Diego and much of my personal life involves giving and working for philanthropies that support our elder community. I am also a referral attorney for the Alzheimers Association and am active in giving seminars for many Retirement Communities around SD County about elder abuse laws and planning for long term care, memory care or skilled nursing, including MediCal needs.

An estate plan anticipates and arranges the management and disposal of one's estate during one's life and upon death. It involves tailored tax planning; an advanced health care directives; a springing durable power of attorney; proper characterization of title and ownership (separate or community) of real property; guardianships for minor children; elder law and financial planning for long term care - in short, peace of mind that one's estate bypasses probate and passes smoothly to loved ones.

Real Property in California can be held in many forms and it is important to know how to characterize ownership. I have been counsel to S.D.'s largest private landowner; I was counsel to a large financial partner in commercial developments; and for CA Savings and Loan reviewing mortgages, title issues; reverse mortgages; bankruptcies; divorces and other disputes. I have worked with environmentalists to state CEQA reports and federal Environmental Impact Reports. I know real property law.
