Mekyla Robinson

Mekyla Robinson is a family law attorney at Lass Law APLC who helps individuals and families navigate divorce, child custody, support, and other complex family law matters with compassion, clarity, and thoughtful legal advocacy.

Mekyla earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law before passing the California Bar Exam and joining Lass Law. During law school, she developed meaningful hands-on family law experience through the University of San Diego Women’s Legal Clinic, where she provided free legal services to low-income individuals throughout the San Diego community.

That experience strengthened Mekyla’s commitment to helping people through deeply personal and emotionally difficult transitions. She understands that family law matters are rarely just legal problems. They often involve major changes to a client’s family, finances, home, and future. Mekyla approaches each case with empathy, careful preparation, and a focus on helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.

At Lass Law, Mekyla represents clients through every stage of the family law process, from initial case strategy and negotiations through mediation, hearings, and litigation. She regularly prepares persuasive declarations and legal filings, works directly with clients, and develops strategies designed to clearly and constructively communicate each client’s needs.

Mekyla’s background includes training in trauma-informed advocacy, which helps shape her thoughtful and client-centered approach. She recognizes that the legal process itself can feel overwhelming and works to create an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

As part of Lass Law’s holistic and resolution-focused approach, Mekyla works to minimize unnecessary conflict and court involvement whenever possible. She helps clients pursue practical, lasting solutions through negotiation, mediation, and strategic planning while remaining prepared to advocate strongly in court when litigation is necessary.
