Biography
With over 22 years practising law in California, I have had the pleasure of representing clients when they needed a helping hand and sound legal advice.
As a military veteran, I have also been there protecting our military from predatory lenders and abusive creditors. I take special pride in protecting those who serve our country.
While in the Navy, I was an intelligence specialist and learned Russian in my capacity as an analyst. I now use my knowledge of the Russian (and Ukrainian language) to serve clients from the former Soviet Union countries. I frequently travel to Ukraine and Russia providing volunteer work for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The OSCE is a joint European Union and State Department proxy that monitors civil society and free market programs in Eastern Europe, most notably in Ukraine and occupied Crimea.

Excellent attorney with excellent results and reasonable fees
We had a situation with a predatory loan from Bank of the West. We hired Mr. Houbeck to review the loan docs and renegotiate the loan with the bank. Mr. Houbeck contacted Bank of the West and pointed out several violations of the Truth and Lending laws as well and California Civil Code viiolations...

Very thorough and helpful
Mr. Houbeck is a great attorney who is very professional but doesn't rush you. He allows you the time to talk about your issues and ask questions. He's represented us for personal bankruptcies in the past (chapters 13 and 7) and will be representing us for business. He knows his stuff!
