Thomas Murry Finrow

I have worked in the civil/criminal justice system for over 33 years. We contacted Mr. Finrow because he claimed to have expertise in construction law. He agreed to perform certain services to resolve a civil dispute. Shortly after being paid a $3,000.00 retainer, his whole attitude changed. He ...became very bossy and demanding and told us that if we didn't follow his directions, he would terminate his services. He strung us along and burned up the $3,000.00 without ever contacting the defendant (what he was hired to do). He also had the audacity to send another invoice for even more "fees". Incredibly, he charged for every single email he read (10th of an hour) without informing us ahead of time of this charge. What is most concerning is his attitude. He became disrespectful, condescending and flat rude and suddenly- he was out of the case. In my opinion, he lacks any follow-through or competence and likely is burned out. He said he is "winding down his legal practice" after decades in law. Perhaps that is why he just took our money and never did what he promised to do. Now we are taking him to the State Bar a refund and then will start all over looking for a new attorney. Would I recommend this attorney? NEVER. Sorry, with so many attorneys available, why retain Mr. Finrow?
