Mr. Ignacio attended the University of San Diego, and in three years time, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and with minors in English and Philosophy. During his time at USD, Mr. Ignacio served as the Undergraduate Writing Center Coordinator and tutor, in addition to leading various University Ministry activities. By the time he graduated, Mr. Ignacio earned several distinctions including: Honors Program Graduate, Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board (National College Senior Honors Society), Psi Chi (Psychology Honors Society), and Sigma Tau Delta (English Honors Society). Mr. Ignacio then enrolled at Hamline University School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota after receiving an academic scholarship.

However, because of a family illness, Mr. Ignacio returned to San Diego and enrolled at California Western School of Law. While at CWSL, Mr. Ignacio served as a legal intern for the Legal Aid Society where he assisted clients with unlawful detainer issues and helped domestic violence victims acquire restraining orders against their aggressors. For his service, the State Bar of California awarded Mr. Ignacio with the Wiley B. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Services.

In addition, Mr. Ignacio served as a legal intern at the Office of Counsel for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), handling complex government acquisitions and contracts matters. Mr. Ignacio graduated from CWSL in the top 25% of his class, along with earning an academic excellence award. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Ignacio serves as an officer for his family’s residential rental business, serving 36 rental properties throughout San Diego county. Since he has worked in the residential rental business going back to his teenage years, Mr. Ignacio has acquired a wealth of knowledge about landlord/tenant law and real estate matters.

Mr. Ignacio is a big sports fan, especially baseball, and attends Padres games at Petco Park when he can. He also enjoys swimming, cooking, playing the guitar, and playing basketball during his spare time.

Estate Planning Excellance!
Mark gave my husband and I a very thorough consultation about Estate Planning and the importance of creating our Living Trust in order to avoid probate. Mark Trust
Mark was very thorough explaining every part of our updated family trust. The existing trust was twenty years old and numerous things were changed. Mark also has the ability to make you comfortable and not rushing you. I would recommend him to my friends.

I initially contacted Mark Ignacio because my mother passed in January, 2018 and I was the designated person to take care of her business following her death. When I contacted Mark, I needed assistance with obtaining and filing the appropriate legal documents for a "Transfer of Deed." I remember that initial conversation with Mark because he was very empathetic regarding my loss. He explained the "Transfer of Deed" process and what was required. He addressed all of my questions and concerns. Mark was both detailed and thorough regarding the process and what was required. By the conclusion of the conversation, I had no doubt that I was ready to hire him for the service and did so. Mark sent me the required documents to file, along with detailed information regarding what steps I needed to take on my end. Approximately 5 months following the initial transaction, I decided that I wanted to have Trust documents prepared. I contacted Mark and advised him, and we began that process. I didn't have to invest any time in seeking someone, I was very happy with my first interaction with Mark, and had no hesitancy with returning to him for the next service. This time around, I had many more questions. Beginning with my initial contact with Mark, I saw that this was someone who truly enjoys their work. He was always extraordinarily patient, able to address any questions or concerns I had (and with the trust, there were many), he never rushed me off the phone, but took the time to ensure that everything had been addressed to my satisfaction and he always extended the invitation to call him if I had additional questions. Mark always returned messages timely. Bottom line, Mark was "always" professional, patient, courteous, and most importantly, it is evident he is very skilled and knowledgeable at his profession. I would hire him again in the future if needed.

Highly recommend Mark Ignacio
My husband and I had been putting off getting our trust in order and Mark helped us get this task accomplished with ease, great conversation and a smile. From beginning to end we only had a couple of meetings. One was a wonderful explanation of what the trust would consist of for my husband and I and then what our responsibility would be in completing the pages that state the distribution of our personal properties to loved ones. Legal Expertise With a Human Touch
We hired Mark Ignacio to help with our mother's Living Estate planning. Mark exceeded our expectations in providing legal advice and explaining California estate law in a way that was understandable. Most notably was Mark's follow-through. His word is gold and when he says he will contact you or have something prepared by a certain date, it absolutely happens. very pleasant
in 2016 we had an attorney write up a living trust. We needed a few more things taken care of a wanted to go with someone closer to home. We found Mark with a simple local search in our area. We were very impressed with Mark as he found a few things that weren't right with the other attorney's work and the Trust would have failed Mark fixed what was wrong and had a few extra ideas that made the trust solid. My daughter and I sought legal advice for my mother who is 84 yrs old and a little hard of hearing. He made sure her wishes were clearly written out on her Will. She shared her concerns about granting anyone POA and he explained it all in great detail in terms she understood. He never ceases to amaze me
Mark has been my go-to attorney for several years now. Unless it's a matter I know he doesn't practice in (in which case, he makes very good suggestions of alternative law firms), I ask him first if he can help with my issue.
