Garry James Bowman

Garry Bowman, a native of Michigan, began practicing law with the San Diego City Attorney’s office in 1969. He holds Bachelors in Business Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from theUniversity of Michigan. He began his private practice of law in Chula Vista, California in 1970. Between 1972 and 1982 he was a partner in several local law firms. In 1982, Mr. Bowman set up a solo law practice specializing in family law, probate and estate planning. Over the years he has been active in the South Bay Bar Association (past president), Chula Vista Kiwanis Club (past president) and Eastlake Community Church. Mr. Bowman is a former Judge Pro Tem, Family Law. He and his wife, Judith, have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

GARRY J. BOWMAN’S PHILOSOPHY OF LAW PRACTICE 

Mr. Bowman’s philosophy of law practice is summed up in three words: integrity, quality, and advocacy. He endeavors to provide the highest quality legal services while being honest in his relationships with clients and others. Integrity extends to charging reasonable fees for services and actually providing the services. Quality means doing the job right and communicating with the client on a regular basis. Advocacy means that he has the ability to argue on behalf of a client’s best interests, whether to the opposition or to the court. In sum, he treats his client’s interest with the care and concern that he would treat his own personal interests.
