David Gutierrez is a native San Diegan who knows how to get results from the local judges and District Attorney’s. Also known as “El Peleador,” or “The Fighter”, San Diego attorney David Gutierrez has an established reputation in the San Diego and Southern California legal communities for fighting for his clients’ rights in a wide array of criminal defense and civil litigation areas as one of the top law firms in San Diego.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, San Diego and his law degree from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1995. During law school, Mr. Gutierrez interned at the Alameda District Attorney’s office. This experience provided valuable insight and a distinct advantage in negotiating with district attorneys. He was also a regional director for a national medical review firm, where he reviewed personal injury claims. He uses this valuable experience in his personal injury cases, because he can understand first-hand how insurance companies value and evaluate various claims. Before opening his own office, Mr. Gutierrez was an associate at a criminal defense firm where he gained extensive experience in defending clients charged with a wide variety of Federal and State crimes.

Before studying law and becoming one of the top law firms in San Diego Ca, Mr. Gutierrez was a Silver Medalist Boxer at the 1984 U.S. Olympic Trial and later an undefeated professional boxer. He retired after suffering a serious injury and now focuses his attention on fighting for his clients’ rights in the courtroom. Today, he combines his love for boxing with his dedication to the San Diego community. He coaches at a boxing club on a daily basis, where he mentors at-risk youth and has helped train several undefeated boxing professionals. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
