Helping clients through their biggest challenges
Lynne Mc Alister-Villegas is a passionate advocate who, in every case, is driven to seek justice for her clients. In practice since 2016, Lynne is experienced family law attorney; she also practices in the areas of business, trademark, and real estate law, and estate planning.
Keeping a client-centered focus has been fundamental to her success. As Lynne explains, “The people who come to me are usually under a lot of emotional stress. I believe that being there to listen is the only way to truly know what my clients want, and equally important, what they need—and I think they appreciate that.”
Lynne works hard to help, as well as educate clients throughout the process. By understanding the law and the probable range of outcomes in a given situation, clients can make informed decisions about how to proceed. Says Lynne, “One client told me that no attorney had defended him the way I did in court. He said I got his voice out there-and I could only have done that if I really listened to him. To me that was the ultimate compliment.”
A real-world, practical problem solver
Colleagues describe Lynne as goal-directed, focused, and a natural litigator. After graduating from the California State University at Northridge, with Bachelor’s degrees in finance and real estate, Lynne acquired her real estate broker’s license. She worked in real estate and as an auditor until 2010. Lynne enrolled in law school at Western State University College of Law. Upon passing the California Bar exam, she went to work at a boutique law firm, and a year later, she started her own practice. Lynne founded The Law Offices of Lynne Mc Alister-Villegas in 2017. She gained a new level of insight into parenting and child custody issues while working with clients at her previous firm.
In addition to family law matters, Lynne handles matters related to family law such as civil litigation of contract disputes or to determine rights to jointly owned real estate. Lynne also handles business matters, real estate disputes, trademark registration and maintenance, and estate planning.
