Client was facing serious child endangerment charges. To make the situation more dire, client would face serious consequences to his profession if had any type of conviction on his record. Utilizi ... ng a comprehensive mitigation packet and support letter from employment/administrative lawyer, I met with a District Attorney supervisor. After some back and forth, I was able to work out a diversion offer for my client. Diversion means client will not be put on probation. If client successfully completes some classes, his case would be dismissed. Client is earning a dismissal.

Client failed to complete her community labor on a felony matter on time. Client tried to convince the Judge to give her more time on her own. Unfortunately, the Judge indicated he would be giving her ... county jail time for the violation. I was retained by client. My staff and I created a comprehensive timeline as to why she was not able to finish her obligations. We included relevant medication and personal information. Despite push back from the Judge, I was able to convince him to allow for one more extension. Client was successful in finishing her obligations by the new due date and thus avoided significant county jail time.

Client was facing felony sex charges. On top of that client possessed a prior felony conviction. I spent many many hours getting to know my client. Eventually we developed a trust. Utilizing experts in ... the field, we discovered that the client had been horribly victimized himself and had never received proper treatment. This allowed me to argue passionately on my clients behalf that we had discovered the core issue causing his problems. We created an extensive plan of rehabilitation for the client as well. This allowed me to resolve the case for a misdemeanor and no jail time. Client avoided a felony, state prison and county jail.
