William Thad Kermisch

William T. Kermisch is the founding partner of Kermisch & Paletz LLP and has over 13 years of legal experience almost exclusively in the practice area of family law.  Mr. Kermisch is a contributor as a legal analyst to media outlets such as NBC.   Mr. Kermisch was voted as a 2018 Super Lawyer by the Super Lawyers publication; Mr. Kermisch was previously voted as a Rising Star in Law by the Super Lawyers in 2012, 2013, and 2014, an honor of which only 2.5% of all lawyers in California are awarded.  Mr. Kermisch has also contributed to various articles on family law issues.

Mr. Kermisch earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and received his undergraduate degree with a B.A. in psychology from The University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a member in good standing of the State Bar of California, as well as the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Kermisch worked for a Family Law firm, spent time as a youth advocate at a mental health center, and worked on dissolution cases at the non-profit Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law where he earned a Certificate of Tribute.  Mr. Kermisch is a Florida native and is passionate about traveling, independent music and film, and certain team sports.
