Kira Sue Masteller

I have known Ms.Masteller for many years professionally. I have referred legal work to her and helped her, in my capacity as a banker, with her personal financial situations. My wife and hired her to draft our personal trust. To my regret I recently hired Ms. Masteller to draft a very simple amendme...nt to my 94 year old mother's trust. I patiently and throughly explained to Ms. Masteller that my mother wished to name me immediately her co-trustee. After many delays I received the documents. I was forced to delay the signing of the documents until either her notary-paralegal or Ms. Masteller could avail themselves to travel to my mother's bedside to sign the documents. Neither Ms. Masteller or the para-legal ever made themselves available. When I asked her paralegal on Feb 12, 2017 she responded that no one was available this week. The paralegal offered several reasons for this delay, none of which were reasonable in a business dealing. When I stressed, again, the urgency of the situation I was informed that the Kira Masteller was going on vacation and that a partner in the firm had died. Please note the correction to the documents was a matter of re-writing two lines in the amendment. When Kira Masteller finally called she denied her mistake, accused me of yelling at her paralegal, talked over me, resorted to screaming and hung up on me. I must admit to writing emails to Kira that were less than complimentary, but she was uncivil with me on the phone call. I suggest to you that you can find a better lawyer than Ms. Masteller. My experience with Ms. Masteller is that she is immature, hostile and completely unwilling to take responsibility for her mistakes. Ms. Masteller's response to my justified criticism was to summarily refuse to fix this glaring mistake and fire both my mother and my family as clients. Ms. Masteller is so entitled that she has somehow justified to cause my 94 year old mother harm.
