This guy is a complete joke and should not be practicing law anymore he has done nothing for my husbands case after being asked to file motions he refused to and prolonged it. He is in trouble by the judge now the judge has currently placed his law firm and himself in contempt of court due to not fol...lowing simple directions from the judge he also was paid in full and because my husband didn’t want to go to trial he prematurely dropped his case and left my husband hanging at court . He needs to be reported for sure!

Mr. Calabria was appointed council for my brother, Shaun, who was on trial for murder. The case was circumstantial and with just a little effort could have easily been won. However, he failed. He failed to conduct an investigation. He failed to interview witnesses. He failed to seek DNA testing. He f...ailed to call any expert witnesses or supporting witnesses. It was a murder trial and aside from my brothers testimony he called only two witnesses which were only called to testify as to the character of a person not even on trial..not to mention they were the parents of the person whose character he was questioning. The first time he had ever spoke to those two witnesses was in the hallway before court. He failed to meet with or even speak to my brother until court where they had met for the first time. He failed my brother, an innocent man, now serving a sentence of LWOP. Mr. Calabrias inadequate representation has caused a HUGE miscarriage of justice. My brothers life was in his hands and he did nothing to protect and defend him. The prosecution needed a conviction and Mr.Calabria gave them one. While Mr. Calabrias life has gone on since this case, my brothers has stopped and our lives have been shattered. Shaun is a father, a son, an uncle and a brother. For him, as well as, the countless other innocent men and women wrongfully convicted, LWOP is tantamount to a death sentence.
