Alex D. Patel

Background

Alex Patel, concentrates his practice on the full spectrum of trademark prosecution and litigation, representing individuals and corporations. As a specialist in trademark litigation and domain disputes, he counsels his clients in all phases of disputes on both routine and complex infringment matters.

Mr. Patel prosecutes trademark applications at the USPTO, and has successfully represented clients in federal court, and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in ex parte appeals, oppositions, and cancellations.

He has successfully represented clients in ICANN domain name dispute proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He also has experience practicing in the Central District of California in trademark and copyright infringement matters.

Litigation Record

Over 200 trademark trails litigated in federal court, and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in ex parte appeals, oppositions, and cancellations.

Represented a domain name holder in federal litigation brought by a national bank over a domain dispute resulting in a large monetary settlement in favor of our client.

Forced the transfer of several domain names registered in bad faith through ICANN proceedings conducted via the World Intellectual Property Organization.
