Highly recommend!

I had an issue with the Contractors State License Board and with the help of Richard Thomas Miller I was able to resolve my issue and win my case. Richard kept me informed throughout the process and was able to do the job efficiently in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him to any one lookin...g for a lawyer. He is very knowledgeable, hardworking, and his rates are reasonable.

Unreliable and unethical. He sacrificed my welfare and money to build a relationship with her.

I hired a licensed fiduciary and requested her to meet both my husband and I in his office to discuss her future bookkeeping duties for my Special Needs Trust. Initially, Miller discussed giving his insurance business to a small agency which is a small business like his business. The woman was not ...bonded and I was advised by a CPA to purchase a bond ($3,000) which I did. I went to my CPA a few months later and discovered the fiduciary never did any work at all. I sent an email to her about her lack of work and she verbally accused me of trashing her. Miller later told me "I never told you to buy the bond", however, he verbally walked my daughter through the process of completing it. The bond company cancelled the bond and Miller wrote me an email stating "If you're not happy with the way I handled this situation, feel free to go to another attorney". After I picked up my file he called me and told me he was crediting my account for two phone calls. He asked me to continue being his client and he could do estate planning for me. I refused stating he never drew up a contract for the fiduciary about her job duties. I continued to tell him she was accusing me of trashing her after she admitted she never did any work and he never picked up on her behavior and did not defend my actions. Finally, Miller demanded I pay her fee for a small amount of work which was sloppy and incomplete.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
