When we first started researching step parent adoption, we quickly became frustrated and overwhelmed with the complicated and conflicting information we found. We called and spoke to multiple lawyers, all who wanted to charge $2400 or more as a retainer to even begin the process for us. I think I mailed out about 300 of them wanting to be a mom so bad. Well after our son was 2 we received a phone call from another potential birth mom out of the blue on New Years Eve she found us from her doctors office from the resume Randy advised us to send out. We weren't planning on adopting another. But to my surprise our daughter was born a week later the day after my mom passing. She was such a blessing and today still is she is now 19 years old today. We used Randy one other time and now the shoe was on the other foot my niece was a birth mom and needed help placing her baby up for adoption Randy was wonderful in helping her place her baby for adoption under circumstances. Her little girl is now 10 and I keep in contact with the parents whom adopted her. This is a special story and I know for Randy its a story I am he doesn't see much like mine. But Randy Hicks was a true blessing to mine and my husband with out him we would of never become parents and achieving our family. Now my son is 21 still keeps in touch with his biological grandmother, My daughter is 19 we see her birth mom once a year she came to her high school graduation and party. My nieces little girls parents send me pictures and letters. This man Randy Hicks is one amazing adoption lawyer. Thank you Randy.

My wife and I used the service of Mr. Randall Hicks for the adoption of my adult daughter, who was out of the country during the entire process. My husband and I worked with Randy on two private adoptions upon the recommendation of two other families who had worked with him. We particularly like that he takes care to make sure that the potential birthmothers are really ready to make the decision to give up a child for adoption, that their dec...ision is not hasty or uninformed or under pressure. He also did not pressure us to choose him, but spoke well of one of the agencies we were also considering. During our second adoption, we had more questions about how to interact with and help support the birthmother, as the situation was somewhat more complicated the second time around, and he gave good advice that helped guide us. Ultimately we located our birth mother through an agency, but Randy helped us with all the legal paperwork associated with the adoption. Randy was always responsive when possible birth mother situations arose (either brought to us by Randy or through other parties that we brought to him) to answer our questions and provide advice. He worked in partnership with our agency social workers to quickly and efficiently process initial and final adoption paperwork, and we never needed to chase or push the process along. We never had to worry about the legal details having Randy taking care of that aspect of the process. This allowed us to focus on our daughter and really enjoy our new blessing. We would highly recommend Randy to others for adoption needs as he is very professional, straightforward, and effective while showing the utmost respect for all of the involved parties.
