Max Joseph Sprecher

A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A., 1985), and Southwestern University School of Law (J.D., 1993), Mr. Sprecher's practice focuses on all areas of general business and entertainment litigation, including protection of talent, content creators, and distributors in all areas of the entertainment industry.

In 1992, Mr. Sprecher joined the nationally recognized entertainment litigation boutique Lavely & Singer P.C., where he spent the following seven years working on a wide variety of high-stakes and high-profile cases with and against some of the finest entertainment litigators in the country.

In 2000, Mr. Sprecher joined the entertainment litigation department at Liner Yankelevitz Sunshine & Regenstreif LLP (subsequently known as Liner LLP) as senior counsel, where he continued to represent clients in the entertainment industry.

Since launching his own firm in 2005, Mr. Sprecher has been providing expert litigation services, obtaining multi-million dollar judgments for his clients, and doing so without the bloated overhead and costs of many larger firms.

Mr. Sprecher's experience includes cases in State and Federal courts involving general business litigation, talent/manager disputes, talent/agency disputes, profit/accounting issues, distribution disputes, financing disputes, guild residual claims, credit claims and disputes, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, idea submission disputes, trademark registrations, right of publicity, domain name and cybersquatting disputes, and defamation. He also has significant experience before the California Department of Industrial Relations and in arbitrations before the Independent Film and Television Alliance and Hollywood guilds, where he has tried numerous cases through final determinations and judgments.
