Biography
I have more than twenty-five years of experience representing and counseling employers in a wide range of employment law matters. As the founding partner of Miller Law Partners, PC, I have successfully represented employers in a variety of employment law matters, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and individual and class action wage and hour lawsuits.
I counsel employers throughout California on all aspects of employment relations and compliance and assist employers with workplace investigations, employment-related audits, as well as with the preparation of workplace policies and procedures. I also regularly train management and supervisors and speak to employer groups in the areas of harassment, discrimination and retaliation prevention and human resources best practices.
I practice both in state and federal court and also before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the United States Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Employment Development Department of the State of California and the U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
I occasionally represent individuals in a variety of employment related disputes, focusing primarily on wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment. I also assist individuals with severance negotiations.
