Rosemary Olivia Ward

I first met Rosemary Ward in March of 2012 in LAUSD's teacher jail. She offered me a free consultation and looked at my paper work. She represented me in March 18, 2012 when I was charged with four causes for dismissal, one unsatisfactory service act, and six charges. Later on, my six charges gr...ew to twenty charges. She was there for me when I needed her the most. Going through litigation against LAUSD was/is stressful, anxiety producing and it put myself and my family through hell. We appealed the District's dismissal and we had our OAH trial in mid-November of 2013. We prevailed at the OAH and LAUSD appealed the OAH's decision. Rosemary knows these court systems. She knows the judges and attorneys who work at the OAH and in the writ department at the Superior Court of Los Angeles County as well. She is very experienced in administrative law and in representing teachers against school districts. I learned a lot from Rosemary and she is dedicated, hard-working and very passionate about winning and getting her client the best possible outcome. Rosemary was successful in getting me reinstated with LAUSD in March of 2015 after I was unemployed for 13 months. That was huge! Rosemary really cares about her clients and collaborates with other attorneys because she checks and double checks her work and she likes to get a second opinion just in case she misses something. Rosemary was a teacher and she likes to work collaboratively with her colleagues. Information in these teacher dismissal cases is invaluable. The ins and outs of the court systems are tricky and two heads are better than one, three heads are better than two, etc. Rosemary knows what she is doing, and guess what, she gets stressed out too. Rosemary is very competitive. She may come across as aggressive, abrasive and negative, which can be intimidating, but those are the exact traits an attorney needs to have when going up against a school district such as LAUSD. So, as a client, you need to be smart and see the big picture and understand the seven laws of nature. In summary, we won in the Superior Court, and LAUSD has decided that they are not going to appeal our case. Until I see that in writing, LAUSD may change their minds and pursue an appeal despite the fact that our judge wrote a 21 page tentative decision. LAUSD has no legal grounds to pursue the appeal to the Appellate level and they know that. Rosemary has the experience, legal knowledge and wherewithall to see a case through. Take my advice: if you find yourself in a legal bind, I highly recommend Rosemary as your attorney and legal counsel. She also has experience in criminal law, family practice law, as well as school law. Don't listen to what other people tell you. Do your research and see for yourself. That's what I did and we won!

I sought legal help regarding education issues and was referred to Ms. Ward through an associate. At first Ms. Ward was very responsive, and adequately provided legal support, more or less 'baiting' me in. As the process moved forward, coming closer to trial, she became verbally abusive and threate...ned to withdraw from the case when I challenged her billing statements, claiming she was 'padding' the bill, which I found to be unsubstantiated and in some instances, fabricated at the last minute. Simply, Ms. Ward is very adept at using threatening intimidation at the most opportune times, as a means to 'drain' more monies the closer we came to trial. She lied to me on many occasions, making many false statements about her fees, further procedures she would address, ie; appeals, motions, etc., overcharging and using fellow 'associate' attorney's as a so called 'team', which only kept her in the 'loop' with these so-called professionals. I refer to them as 'vampires'! Ms. Ward is regarded, by many educators I have spoken with, as an ambulance chaser, actually going into Administrative offices under the guise of consulting with a client, only to make herself available to other educators who may need representation. When asked to put her claims/statements 'in writing', she immediately refused, denying she ever made the statements, then threatening to remove herself from the case. I can go on and on about the unprofessionalisms, intimidations, and the actions bordering on criminal behavior, but by now, you probably get the picture. Stay as far away from her and her 'associates' as you can, unless you don't mind throwing your money away and getting abused in the process.
